Angioprim...the answer for cleaning arteries??

Question: from Brad

Warren - I took a product for several months to clear my arteries of plaque. I have stable angina and 30% build up in the left anterior descending artery.

The product is called Angioprim. The testimonials at the angioprim website are very persuasive and genuine. Thats why I decided to give it a try.

It did not cure my angina and I have not gone through additional tests to see if the plaque was reduced in my arteris, so the effectivenes of angioprim for me inconclusive as far as cleaning out my arteries.

But, one interesting result happened that I was very pleased about. My gums for the last 15 years have been slowing receeding. After taking angioprim for a couple of months, they began growing back, and continued to grow back layer upon layer. My gums are healthy once again!!

The ingrediants of angioprim are as follows:

CAYSINE (Proprietary Blend of synthetic amino acid)
A powerful metal chelator and one of the most effective anti-oxidants known. A safe food preservative that can improve your life. Stimulates the endocrine system to promote the production of enzymes that are responsible for maintaining proper calcium and phosphorus balance. Aids in the removal unwanted calcium and metals. Assists in reducing stress and fatigue by improving cell functions.

LYSINE (Essential Amino Acid)
Lysine is important for proper growth and it plays an essential role in the production of carnitine, a nutrient responsible for converting fatty acids into energy and helping to lower cholesterol. Lysine appears to help the body absorb and conserve calcium and it plays an important role in the formation of collagen, a substance important for bones and connective tissues including skin, tendon, and cartilage.

CYSTINE (Non-Essential Amino Acid)
Functions as an antioxidant and is a powerful aid to the body in protecting against radiation and pollution. It can help slow down the aging process, deactivate free radicals, neutralize toxins; aids in protein synthesis and presents cellular change. It is necessary for the formation of the skin, which aids in the recovery from burns and surgical operations. Hair and skin are made up 10-14% Cystine.

I am not promoting Angioprim. I'm just wondering if it's worth while to try it again, or if it's just another snake oil, in your opinion.

Answer: from Warren

I did some research on Angioprim and was not impressed with what I found.

I would be really surprised if this product achieved what they claim.  However, I am not surprised that your gum health has improved, as it is quite likely that this product will have helped in that regard because of the presence of the amino acids Lysine and Cysteine which would assist your overall health.

Those two amino acids are also helpful as part of a protocol in improving overall the circulatory system.  This is why they are a part, albeit a minor one of our Cardio-Klenz.

Their main ingredient they are calling Caysine, a synthetic amino acid.  There is no such amino acid.  It would appear that they have simply dreamed up this name for EDTA which is a synthetic amino acid commonly used for intravenous chelation and also in some oral ‘chelating’ supplements.

There is no evidence to support its efficacy.  Over the years we have kept an eye on EDTA and we would have used it in Cardio-Klenz if there had been strong evidence supporting its efficacy in cleaning arteries.  It may have some benefits in helping chelate metals out of the body but this not cleaning arteries.

EDTA is very popular in many ‘cowboy’ supplements because marketers find it easy to weave a good sales story around it.  It is incredibly cheap…in fact it is the cheapest of all of the amino acids. Lysine and Cysteine are also amongst the cheapest of the amino acids.

I could not find any info on the amount of these three amino acids in Angioprim but even if they were high this product is outrageously expensive.

The promoters of Angioprim are I believe taking advantage of the general lack of knowledge in the market place and will try to get away with some pretty over stated claims until they are ultimately brought into line.

They are proposing that customers take high doses of their product for a short period of time.  I think that this is another marketing ploy to sell as much product to a customer before they realize that it will do very little for them.

If you wish to clean your arteries it is important to tackle the task on multiple fronts.  This means using a broad variety of bio-active ingredients that play roles which have scientifically proven to help…such as Nattokinase.

If you have a look at the ingredients in Cardio-Klenz you will I am sure get a better appreciation of just how important it is to have a broad synergistic range of active nutrients.  Cleaning your arteries has to be a long term project.  There is no short term solution.  If it was as easy as taking the three amino acids in Angioprim then most of the heart disease so rampant in the world today could be eliminated.  Sadly…it doesn’t work like that.

Warren -

All the information I gather from you and from others I simply accept based on my impression of the source, since I'm definitely not an expert in the health field. If the source of the information appears to me to have integrity, then I will trust their opinion if it seems sound and based in fact.

I trust your opinion and viewpoint based on how you handle your website and customers. I don't necessarily trust the creators of angioprim, but I believe the testimonials from the website to be genuine.

Have you read the testimonials? They are quite astounding and very persuasive.

What do you make of the testimonials?

Hi Brad,

Did you notice that many of the 'testimonials' are identical? I just went through about 10 of them and when I found that 4 of them were identical I stopped.

I am not saying that it will not help at all, but rather that the EDTA which is the main ingredient does not have evidence to support its ability to remove calcium build up. It is primarily a heavy metal chelator and we have not seen any sound evidence to support its ability to remove calcium. If there was we would use it. As I mentioned it is VERY, VERY cheap.

Angioprim also do not produce any evidence either.

If someone's health is less than optimal and that applies to a large percentage of the population then they will feel some benefits temporarily from taking the Lysine and Cysteine.

Angioprim solicit testimonials and give a $25 credit for supplying one. This is something we have never done and never will as many people will say anything if you offer some money.

Hi Warren,

I just wanted to say that I went to my doctor for blood work recently. Just to make a long story short, my cholesterol(the bad kind) used to be 225 and my liver was always enlarged and they would say my liver enzymes were high. I'm happy to say that my cholesterol in now 170 and my liver is now well within normal range. I even had him to a test for the likely hood that I would suffer from a heart disease when i'm older.....the results came back as extremely low risk! I'm 34 years old and I must be honest and say I don't eat right:-( However I did add Total Balance about a year ago to my regimen and so far it's lived up to it's hype! Soon I will be ordering the new version and I can't wait for those added benefits.

Thanks,

Alex

Thanks Warren - I guess I'm wanting to believe in the quick fix. My own experience with angioprim should be enough proof for me, since it did help with my chest pains.

Oops. I ment to say, since it did NOT help with my chest pains..

I am taking 6 total balance pills a day, as recommended for best results. My question is, as I take three in the morning and three in the afternoon, is this a proper way to get the most out of the pills, or should I divide them into sets of two, three times a day? Sandra
September 11, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterSandra
Hi Sandra,

It is not critical either way. Do what is the most convenient for you.

By the way, we have just had some small pill boxes made up which will make it easier. In a couple of weeks when we have them we will be including a complimentary one for each of our customers. In the case of customers who are couples we will supply two.

Wow!
Thanks so much for the pill boxes Warren... This will help me a lot at work to not misplace them or drop them like I usually tend to do. Most of the time I put them in my upper small jean pocket. Thanks again, looking forward in getting one soon.

Hi Allan,

Yes, they certainly are convenient. We will start distributing them in about 3 weeks.

Angioprim...I foolishly bought some from the USA and have yet to use it!
The instructions on its use I found complicated.
I did not like the fact it arrived labelled as a "Metal remover"on its UK customs declaration.
I then looked up the medical lab test results on the product on the www.
The conclusion by this test team was there was no evidence it worked.
I now feel if it actually worked my consultant cardio. and the NHS would certainly be useing it daily.

Hi John,

You must not feel foolish about this. It is very difficult for a consumer to spend the time researching these matters. It takes a lot of time. It has taken me more than 10 years full time to come to grips with many of these issues.

The problem is that there will always be a combination of companies that either don't understand what they are selling or, simply take advantage of the general lack of understanding amongst the general public about these types of products.

It's sad but a fact, and it is not limited to supplement companies. Drug companies are just as bad and in many cases worse but they do it under a guise of respectability.

About a year ago I actually went through a large number of the testimonials for angioprim and contacted these users.by telephone. Some said it did work for them. Others said it did not work. All did agree that it was rather expensive.

Warren, I have been a long time customer of yours. The supplements that I always order are Total Balance For Men, Male Rejuvenator (for my enlarged benign prostate), and Omega 3. Up until the last shipment, I used to take 6 pills of TB daily. With the last shipment, I was instructed to take only 4 pills daily...I presume because the new and improved version is more potent. Here is my question: if this is so, then why (should I choose to change to TB "Premium") is it necessary to take 7 pills daily of TB Premium instead of, say, 3 pills? Why doesn't the above rational (i.e. the more potent the supplement, the less pills to swallow) also apply to the daily dose for tB Premium?

Hi Jorge,

Thanks for raising this. The instructions to take just 4 tablets a day only applies to the 'regular' version of Total Balance not the Premium which requires 7 for the Men's and the Women's but only 6 for the Unisex version.

The reason why you should either select the 'regular' version at 4 tabs a day or the Premium at 7 tabs a day (instead of a half dose) is because if you only take a half dose of the Premium you would only be getting half the amount of vitamins/minerals, trace elements and specific male nutrients that are in the 'regular' version.

In other words 4 of the 7 tablets of the Premium version contain everything that the regular version does but the extra 3 tablets contain more nutrients that tackle free radicals, glycation, inflammation, methylation and DNA repair. Therefore it is more potent for helping prevent degenerative disease than the regular form.

Another way of putting it. Both forms are potent but in the case of the Premium the vitamins/minerals/trace elements/male nutrients are spread over 7 tablets instead of four and the equivilant of another 3 tablets of additional nutrients are also spread over the 7 tablets.

A bit confusing I know. If you have a look at the following chart this will hopefully help you compare the daily dose of ingredients.

Hope this helps. Please come back to me if I can add anything further.

Hi Warren
I am in deep trouble to the point I have pain When I try to go for a walk. I have taken EDTA intravenously and orally which worked for a while but no longer. I must add here for anyone taking EDTA to have a doctor monitor your kidneys. I am presently taking 40,000 FU's of Serrapeptase three times a day and amylase, protease, Lipase, Papin, Bromalain, etc a digetive aid formula once a day. I would like to take your formula as well but only once a day until I have completed a 6 MO. regimen of the Serrapeptase.Do you have any advise. Your formula has many of the ingredients others require for a healthy heart according to my research. How ever I need to know that your formula will really work. No Bull, just honest plain talk required. Thanks

Hi Lou,

Fair comment. Does it really work? I assume that you are referring to our Cardio-Klenz here.

I can say that we have had a lot of feedback from customers who say it has worked for them. This included one person recently who was having difficulty in walking but has seen a massive improvement.

Will it work for you? I honestly don't know. All I know is that the product does contain everything we says it does and that we go to extraordinary lengths to ensure that only the best quality ingredients are used.

But, I could not guarantee that it would work specifically for you because although there is generally a commonality of causes for most conditions there can be other factors in a persons body that prevents a particular remedy from working. This is why even drugs that will relieve symptoms for some people will not work for others.

I am sorry that I cannot give a more definite assurance than this. All I can say is that I do not know a better natural supplement to help acheive what you want to than our Cardio-Klenz.

I think that you should add some Omega 3 into your regime to help reduce the inflammation which would be contributing to your pain. I would also consider our Total Balance Premium which also will help with inflammation.

hi,my wife would like to know what she can buy at a fair cost to help her cold hands and feet, they are cold all the time.she doesn't have ins. and we are stuck, you have been highly recommended, would be great full for any help.

Hi Steve,

It would seem that your wife has a circulatory problem. I think that her best bet would be to try our Omega 3 up to double the dose, plus Cardio-Klenz.

If after three months this helps then she may be able to change the Cardio-Klenz for Total Balance which will also help. They can all be taken at the same time, but it becomes a bit expensive if you are taking TB as well as Cardio-Klenz so I would start with the Cardio-Klenz first.
